Miravet Castle
Miravet Castle, situated on a hilltop next to the Ebro, is one of the most impressive medieval gems in Catalonia. It was originally built by the Muslims and in the 12th century it was transformed by the Knights Templar, who added walls and defensive structures, making it one of the most important Templar castles in the region.
Inside the castle, visitors can explore courtyards, towers and a Romanesque chapel, all surrounded by the landscape of the Ribera d'Ebre. As well as being a key point in the region's history, the castle was also the scene of important conflicts such as the War of Succession and the Spanish Civil War, adding historical interest to every corner of the fortress.

Miravet village

Miravet Tarragona How to get there
Getting to Miravet is easy. If you choose to drive, you can access it via the N420 national road or from the AP7, A7 or N340, following the directions to Mora. Please note that access to the historic centre is restricted to residents and services.
If you prefer public transport, you can take a regional train to Móra la Nova, which is 11 km from Miravet, or use buses from Móra d'Ebre station, located just 6 km from the village. Make sure to check the timetables before you travel.
